The World Health Organization (WHO) defines infertility—the inability to conceive—as a disease of the reproductive system. About one in six couples experiences primary or secondary infertility at some point during their reproductive years. Female and male factors are found at roughly equal rates, about 40% each. In approximately 15% of couples, no clear cause can be identified.
T-shaped uterus is a developmental problem of the female uterus and although the cause is not known exactly, it is thought that the uterine cavity narrows (ashermann syndrome) as a result of some substances (diethyl style besterol) that these women are exposed to while in the womb or as a result of subsequent applications.
