Frequently Asked Questions

Should I be hungry when I come to the diabetes outpatient clinic for examination?

Yes, it is recommended that you come early in the morning and with a fasting of at least 8-10 hours so that your routine blood sugar (HbA1c, fasting sugar, etc.) and other biochemistry tests are accurate. If you are taking medication or insulin, do your morning dose in consultation with your doctor after giving blood.

What is hidden diabetes (Pre-diabetes) and can it be treated?

Hidden diabetes is a condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but do not reach a level that can diagnose diabetes. When diagnosed early and supported by proper nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes, its transformation into Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or severely delayed.
