Should I remove my lenses when coming for an eye exam?
Yes, it is highly recommended by our doctors that you stop wearing your soft lenses at least 24 hours before the examination and your hard lenses at least 3 days before the examination in order to make your glasses and lens measurements in the most accurate way.
Why is the examination with eye drops (pupil dilation) performed and how long does the effect last?
A drop examination is performed to examine the back of the eye (retina) in detail and to measure the hidden refractive errors in children. The effect of the drops usually lasts for 4-6 hours; During this process, you may experience blurred near vision and sensitivity to light. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not come to the inspection with your own vehicle (using the steering wheel).
